at dawn
mists hang above the river
between dark and light
the water’s lament

While driving to work one rainy morning, I saw a hawk sitting on power lines and imagined a mouse in the grass below. An ATC made for a Facebook Friend.

While visiting my Dad, I looked out his kitchen window and saw a red cardinal sitting on the branches of a winter pear tree.

the house sleeps

long ago memory

my grandmother’s house

a long ago memory

the scent of mothballs

Still Waters

shadows hang

over still waters

a lone star

Slow Kiss

early dawn

a slow kiss

the only sound

Brown Thrasher

brown thrasher

threshing tall grasses

an earthworm.
